Truth be told I would bet my bottom dollar get a few bought the cheapest rod and reel that you could buy you would still catch the same amount of fish. Your technique is excellent. You understand where strike zone is and even with a cheap reel, you would find it so I really don’t think you need very very expensive rod to catch fish. Once you understand what you have taught everybody you are an excellent fisherman.

Great video as always! I am curious as to your thoughts about Bogas…I used to have one and weighed a few stripers and ended up losing it. I read many articles about the higher fish mortality rate and wonder what your experiences have been…fish swim off slower? Personally I think it's for fish you intend to kill and eat. I would really like to see people stop using them

Great catches. I've been using 1oz egg sinkers and 3ft leader of 12lb test with a floating jig for really long casts

lol – so funny when a bigger one starts to run and you were like "oh, ok…" I do something similar "ohhhh, ohhh". ha ha. Such fun. Wish our beaches had more action and the water temp and clarity was not so volatile.

When reeling in don’t you keep hitting the bottom with the crankbait

Be interesting to see how you fish rough water out front

Are you a south paw? I’ve noticed most locals use their left hand for reeling whilst elsewhere in the world it’s mostly the other way around …
