Get an appropriate mannequin or similar, DO IT!
Random throw it over. Test yourself.

Do you have an alarm call with people already knowing what to do? How rapid can you stop? Would someone immediately put the drone up over that spot? Maybe a spotter climbs the mast?
Can you immediately push a button and record the exact GPS? How accurate is that?
Do you have high powered binoculars?

Is it better to try to turn around, or stop on a dime first, which keeps your vector line.
How fast can you stop, from say, 6 knots?
Luff the sails, use the engine, reverse thrust?
Turning around without stopping, loses your path with doing a curve loop…
These things, drills turn into professional auto response, eliminate panic.
