The build for this homemade rod and reel has been quite fun. Thank you Josh for challenging me to this build-off. If you haven’t checked out Josh’s channel, I’ll include the link to his channel and videos so you can see what he came up with. Oh, and I promise you that my knuckle looks WAY worse than what it really was. Thanks for watching!

wow cool challenge i was at to NO good one weekend the place where we rent the cabin at challenging me if i caught build a rod and reel better than that i was fishing and catch a tagged fish at one time it was worth a million dollars yes it was still worth that too i had to come back up there to collect that money too and finish the challenge too
we when out fishing that evening and pulled and other tagged fish from the lake too
On the exit day, i was out onshore and catch another one with a tag my rod broke and got away i was happy it did i don't need the money at all so donated to 2 hospitals in the area yes the challenge was finished too
BRILLIANT idea Fellah
switching to in-line was a masterstroke ,been thinking about this ,For real !! for a while
It’s called an alvey reel there’s guys on you tube using them top idea shame some folks did it already or you could have made a few quid
The ozzys have something almost identical with a hand line looking thing on it nicely done good to see human ingenuity in action nice one buddy
That’s actually a genius way of a hybrid reel, you have the casting distance of a spinning reel but the torque of a conventional
Not trying to pump sunshine up your skirt, but that really is a clever design concept. Thnikign uot of the b o x. 🙂
Love the vid, man. Where are you from in N.M.? I live in Florida, now, but i.I'm from the Grants, Gallup, and Crownpoint area… the northwestern part of the state.
If you would have used a little smaller cap on the right side , the one which will be forward when you cast it will cast much further. Nice job.
Your are a very smart turning the spool was genius.i just finisned washing a video of another build from
CATFISH & CARP and well ,I'll just leave it at that yours is alot better
