Okay, what does lure saver make? Correct, – save your money! So why do not create something simple at home? I can confirm that last autumn it saved MANY lures from snags when I fished from the boat. To be honest, this lure retriever is also cheaper and, from some point of view better, than those you may purchase online. What do you need to make it? Just a few things which you can find in any hardware store….. So, Do It Yourself and save your snagged lure!

Ummm no ,not simple n easy. I seen something much easiet with a 3 oz lead some 50#test,or thin rope and a treble.you can use in two steps first without the hook just knock loose with the weight if no release then u slide the hook on to try and snag and free lure. This thing looks like a weapon or even something made for an ⚓ lol.ive seen folk hang a piece of chain off side of yak to drag along bottom like a water sock
Just pull from the opposite direction or sharper angle. Simple as that 98% of the time it work 100%
Good luck with this in Louisiana lol. You gon get this snagged too. May even get dragged on a gator 🤣 then you got a fight lol. You never know fishing here. I’m in bayou country too!

Or you can try opening your bail and then pull your line to the left and let go and bring your rod up at the same time snapping it. That usually works
You don’t need trebles on the retriever. It’s the chain that catches on the lures trebles
Can confirm this actually works, I have 2 versions of this and they work flawlessly one is a literal pole you stick in the water thats about 10 feet the other is wire with little chains such as this
You can use a the can from a small can of mushrooms . Slightly squeeze one end just enough to make a pointed end on one side. Slide the pointed end first down your line and it will unhook the hangup. Works mostly on cane poles without reels though. My family has done this for over 30 years it works well. The can will come back up on the hook. Maybe this will help someone 🇺🇸👍
More explanation on how it actually works in this video would be nice . I can make it with the the things shown but won’t be worth anything if I don’t know how to use it.
