Hello, fantastic video. I have a few questions. I am a beginner fisher, haven't fished in 20+ years. I'll be fishing from the bank too. First, does it matter if the leader line is the same size as the monofilament pound test as what is on the reel? Second, could you link me a good fishing rod/reel combo for Catfishing from this store (Its the store where I'll buy my fishing stuff from) https://www.academy.com/shop/browse/outdoors/fishing/rod–reel-combos What type of swivels are good for fishing for small Catfish(size)? What ounce sinker is idea for me? 1/3oz, 2oz? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

No float required?

Thank you. Very clear explanation. I was confused by many other guides about where the sinker should go. Now I know: above the swivel. It's that easy!

I started using these leaders last season and have been satisfied with them>>> allabout.wiki/rr3i They straighten out well and turn over as good as the name brands at a much better price per leader with a welded loop, which I prefer. I don’t like having to tie nail knots while standing in a river trying to get set up after a snag or whatever. These leaders do hold up well I used one for several days of fishing just adding tippet as need and it worked fine

Lots of rigs, have you ever seen a end weight that floats?
I fill a balloon with water, tie the knot and attach it to my baitchaser rig at the end.
Casting is easy and with neutral buoyancy it it just follows the chain of hooks on the surface when retrieved.
Herring just love it.
