Oh man I know this area so well, I used to fish there all the time when I lived in Michigan. One of my favorite spots. I've caught a 20 inch Smallie, a 36 inch Pike, a 9lb Steelhead and so much more in that river. Also I see you like jerky, if you ever go back, visit Gary's Country Meats in Lowell, they have awesome jerky, snack sticks and smoked sausages, including smoked Andouille sausage that is probably the best ever. Man this was fun watching y'all fish my old stomping grounds.
What's your opinion on best anchor system ? Looks like you are using the anchor wizard , any issues ?

The Grand is great water but there's too much pressure. You should have gone to the Shiawasse basin for some trophies smallies.

Just watching the Michigan series right now and i would like to ask you something since i saw you got into baitcasters as well. What are the benefits using a baitcaster instead of a spinning reel in your opinion ? Thanks for your time

The bayous are where the best action is. Lots of catfish, crappie, bluegill too.

Use a net for pike or learn to handle them please. Fish grips are bad for boating pike
