Back in November, I made it down to the Texas Coast for a DIY saltwater trip with my buddy, Bryant. We spent 3 days exploring the area in search of Redfish. With a mix of unpredicted weather conditions, we were in for quite the weekend. Saltwater fishing is a completely new beast for me but I learned a ton on this trip. Hope you enjoy it!

it so funny growing up id been fishing since i was 8 years old….with different method of catching fish..I missed those days….Here in the US my children did not experience at all on how to to fish for food….
"It's pretty windy today."
Every Texas coastal fisherman: Welcome to the Texas Coast!
Headed to Port-A next weekend. Kayaks. Mostly bait fish and regular rod/reel – but after seeing this (and some others) gonna take the fly rod and give it a go. Mostly bay (is the plan) saving jetty and channel for windier days. I like this approach.
great to see you guys out there! I did the same thing. You struggle a bit, then it all starts to come together! I'll be down there this Winter. Great video!
New subber here…I just started researching fly fishing and stumbled on your channel. Hands down best fly fishing content I've come across so far.
Been a saltwater guy for a long time and found you guys while trying to learn more about the fishing rivers. Love seeing your adventures where ever you decide to go. Great work! I BTW Louisiana is a must if you continue to chase the reds.
Since you are from North Carolina, check out the false albacore spring and fall, Crazy!! you will really be hooked
Spent many days on the beaches in San Diego sight fishing Corbina ( The Ghost ) , hands down a tuff fish to land , check them out
Great to see you all in my stompin’ grounds. There’s something magical about that area. Hope to see you all back this spring/summer.
Great video. Spring winds will drive where you fly fish if it’s even possible but the day when the wind dies is the day the fly fishing person lives for.
Hope we can get you one the skiff one day Scottie!! Love the video, story, everything!
Love the videos guys! I’d love to see some fishing videos around the DFW area. Keep up the good work. Best fishing channel on YouTube
Corpus wind is no joke, it's especially bad this time of year. You guys were in a good area for high wind days but sometimes it's just not enough. At least y'all got into a couple fish, always enjoy your videos! Keep up the great content man!
Nice trip. My wife and I have been combining whitewater, camping and fishing on our rafting trips. Doesn't get much better then that.
Great vids man, I think you should check out “haul” casting. You may know it already but I don’t think I saw any of it. Check out Lefty Kreh or Flip Pallot.
You have inspired me to get back into fly fishing my man; I used to fish the SC & NC streams when I lived in Greenville SC in high school and tied my own flies. Times are really hard and it’ll be a while before I can afford it but man you have truly inspired me.
As far as your next adventure; I’d say either LA or if you can make it happen the Keys.
Keep up the great work man.
Little side note, my dad was born in Boone haha the Knowles family
This channel made me buy a fly fishing rod. Put my buddy onto your channel and now I have a fly fishing partner. Planning our first trip right now. Thanks fellas
He seemed really shaky while casting… was the wind that strong?? Great vid and fish !
