I've been wanting to try some larger kastmasters for salmon/steelhead lately.

Good video. Been doing this for a while. Spanish mackerel love these things, but you lose a lot of lures. These save you a lot of money.

Do these still come with the split rings? I wish I would have known that just ordered a bunch and the split rings as well. It does not mention that on the site anywhere. Thank you for the video.

I spent an entire day making two blanks from a scrap of steel. Turns out, these are simply sliced from round stock! I started with square stock lol!

Is it ok to use a conventional reel with the one ounce kastmaster, and how heavy/big should my rod be?

You really didn’t tell us how to make one. You told us how to buy parts and assemble one.

If the spoon or blade you want to dip has a topcoat/varnish does it work? Or does the material have to be unfinished?

Can I powder coat those or is the finish to smooth? I am very interested in powder glow colors for the 1oz size. KastMaster only makes the one green glow and the kings seem to love it. Thanks and happy fishing!

Strike using spent brass, I just saw a guy who makes muskie spinners just by putting egg sinkers on a wire with blades! 😀😀😀

Good stuff I need to find some heavy tins for my surf setup I'm getting. 3+oz castmasters are like ten bucks now. I've been debating raiding my local range and filling spent brass with spent lead. And making giant roster tails out of it but unless I'm going to use 375 H&H s they're only going to come out to about an oz.

A must have for a trout box, and they cast great. I've been getting my Kastmaster "knock offs" pretty cheap on Amazon Prime and doctoring them up. Never used the color dip, but I will now. Looks great. Thanks for the video.
