Thanks so much for sharing, great vid and really informative. Ive just started making my own and was particularly interested in the weight you have added. Id like to know if you have made these yourself (if so how) or if they are bought (if so would you mind sharing the source).

This is not really 'bucktail'. This is a spinner,  blade bait or double ten with synthetic dressings. The title is deceptive for those who actually want to learn some good tricks and techniques using the material "bucktail". You know from a deer? Please change the title.

Hi Timothy,
They are 1/8" OD coil springs for lure building and come in 1, 2 and 3" lengths, weighted or unweighted. They are available from Rollie and Helen's Musky Shop. They don't have them in the on line catalog but if you call them they are very helpful.

I really liked the 100# fluorocarbon leader video and made two this morning but this video is missing a lot of information in the middle. Can you redo this, I'm getting back to tying my own flies and jigs again and want to try a bucktail.
