Need advice semi new to river salmon fishing, can I use this reel on a medium 9'6" salmon pole for river salmon fishing with 12lb main line and 10lb leader?

it has a line brake on the right side behind the handle and a magnetic brake on the opposite side as well as a centrifugal brake behind the left side panel

did you try adjusting the centrifugal brake on the inside? you remove the outer cap by pushing the button on side and then you have four nobs to click open or shut. It has a dual braking system. So basically you have three adjustments, two on the non handle side and one next to the drag system. You never made mention of the centrifugal brake in the video.

What do you very for a casting distance? with a 7' medium-heavy rod, 50lb braid, and a soft plastic frog (not hollow, unsure of weight) I get no more than 60' casts. my magnetic braking is only at 5, and centrifugal brakes are off.
