I'm a little scared to go fishing with you. Don't think I'm combat ready!

I'm about to watch it for the 4th time. Do you want one big comment and questions? Or multiple comments?

For any kind of travel, I don't carry pills not in the original manufacturer's packaging or a prescription labeled bottle. 1) if someone else has to use your kit, there should be no room for mis-identifying medication. 2) should the Po-Po take an interest in your kit, they won't find mystery pills. I carry single dose packaged items, including sun screen and bug deterrent, so that I use it, I can stick the wrapper in my pocket as a reminder to restock later on.

I noticed your radio. If that is a video in the pipeline, just tell me to stay tuned. But would you consider that a part of first aide? Do you have to have an FCC license for it?

Great info! One thing to add – if you do get an eye injury (ie: hook in the eye) cover both up as your eyes move together and if the injured eye is moving it may increase the damage.

Good stuff 👌. You're the first person I've seen make a video focused on having a good first aid kit in this context.

First Aid in the camper and vehicle not really on Kayak but still a good idea

Great kit. A bit overboard, you're not hunting in the mountains. The wound seal and the mylar blanket are a must. Glad to see you staying safe with your pfd in the garage!

Couple others. Benadryl. Kayaking is not the time to find out you have a deadly allergy. I also keep Imodium, zip strips, tongue depressor (finger splint), and a section of braided line for removing hooks. And practice deploying and applying your TQ with one hand. Stage it in a ready state on the outside of a bag. It's for major bleeding. If you need it, you need it now.

I keep waterproof matches and an old pill bottle full of dryer lint just in case I need a fire

A first aid kit is a must. It's up to you to make it usable and not too bulky

Great video. I had a really bad spider bite that needed surgery and about 3 months of wound care. I bought my kayak during this time and would just wound care it and plastic wrap it. Lol I am a bit of a rebel though.
All those wound care items makes me question your fishing locations. Are you in Chicago or something? Lol Thanks for another great video. Happy fishing.

Great kit. I would add a spare change of clothes in a micofiber or merino wool. I also would add a water purification method. I love my Sawyer Squeeze mini. I've been out hunting and miles from the car or house and forgot my water. I filled the bag that comes with it with water from a pond and ran it through into a second bag and voila. Water. A 10×10 tarp would also be good as it can provide shelter if stranded and also a wind screen.
