How in Gods green earth do you stand on the Kayak and fish! I would have most certainly dumped the boat.
I find it odd that you crank a spinning reel of the left, but the baitcaster you had a right hand handle. Any reason for this? Also, i fish tubes alot as well. They're basically my go to bait. Almost never fail to catch fish on them. Thanks.
Are you kidding me? When you said Sheboygan River I was shocked! I basically live on the river. The bass on my profile picture was caught In there😂
The one and only time I was in a kayak on a river, I got pit maneuvered by the guy behind me who got caught in the current, capsized, and ended getting stuck on a briar-infested island for about a half hour until someone brought me another kayak to paddle across with. Also lost one of my friend's Crocs they loaned me, so I was half barefoot in the thorns. Now I've got kayak PTSD. Anytime I see someone in a kayak or even think about getting in one myself, I start thinking about how easy they are to tip. I could never fish in one, that's for certain.
You guys should come up to the U.P. we can turkey hunt and fish for big smallmouth.
Should have just waded. Often in summer fish are right near the riffle you crash in your yaks. Make longer casts with big topwaters for more bigger bass like that 18.5". They hear you coming.
Guys when it comes to smallies, every one is a trophy, such a majestic fish , I can almost remember every one I catch. And might I add , that would be in the thousands.
Grew up in that town, know that river by heart. I duck hunt just up-steam from where you put in. Next time just wade the river, its easier than trying to boat. Also try throwing small rooster tails and beetle spins on an ultralight, just as many smallies and you will probably lay into a few northerns too. So glad I found the video, looked like a great day.
Nice stuff guys! Ya'll need to come kayak and fish here in Kentucky this summer!
Hey love your channel, I'm from western NY, so getting ready for Turkey season. Anyway in those smaller rivers I love to throw a little jerk bait,or something like a Rebel crawfish.Tight lines and shoot straight!!!
You guys need to come float the “lower dells” section of the WI river….just add a topwater bait to your arsenal and HANG ON!
I know your from MN, but take it easy on our smallies eh bud? World record torque on them hook sets
You drive all that way to fish in my backyard, and you don't even stop for a beer? I see how it is.
Next time, get ahold of me…you guys put in where I usually take out. I'll show you some other spots, although I don't need any more attention on my areas than this.
Give the riffles a chance. You'll be surprised what hangs out at the mouth, in, and at the end of the riffles.
Little late to the party here, get some Chompers brand tube jigs (my favorite is the Grn Pumpkin/Orange). Super salty and garlicy, largemouth and smallmouth will smash them! Another good thing to try is fishing the eddies with a spinner or Spinner bait and since the bottom was so rocky there I'd have thrown a nice shallow diving square bill crankbait. Hope to see you guys up here in WI more! Maybe you can come to the Northwoods! Also, I've learned to set the hook that hard too so don't listen to those other guys lol, those big texas rig hooks need some force!
My brother introduced me to your channel and I’m upset I didn’t find you guys sooner. I live in the city you guys finished at. Would of been awesome to meet you guys. But awesome job on the smallies!
You guys need to check out a fellow Iowan, Marling Baits, to do some partnership with on some lures. He's located in Cedar Rapids, not to far away from you guys.
True conservationist. We all have to protect our natural resources and the homes of these amazing fish. @breaklineoutdoors
The 2 dislikes on this video are from the 2 fish that you called small.
I've always had really good luck on a white twister tail or white rubber swimbait. Anything that resembles a shad! Good luck fellas!
Bear claw pulling the big one out…he was a slab…zach had a couple good ones too…good job guys
Zach and Jake, blew my mind with this video, I know exactly where this is because I do agronomy work on the farm across the road from where you launched and on a lot of fields along the river. I would’ve lost my mind if I ran into you in my neck of the woods. Keep up the great work on the channel!
You should never reel against your drag it gives you line twists. Let the fish run and pull drag then raise the rod and lower it as you reel in the line to prevent slack. Come on zack this is beginner stuff
Zach the lip ripper!! Awesome video. You guys ever try try baby brush hogs by Zoom?
