This by far is my absolute favorite setup right now. I’ve got a Lew’s Tournament Pro 7.5:1 reel paired on a 7’3 MHF Daiwa Tatula. It’s my designated Texas rig combo and it absolutely does work! I really like how Lew’s reels feel in my hand compared to other reels. I’ve since bought two more Lew’s reels haha….. I’ve got a problem.

Did we both get the same reel on sale! I got mine for 150 on sale a few weeks ago, Paired it with a Daiwa Tatula elite and wow its sickkk
I really have never even tried fishing with a bait caster. Probably too old to learn new tricks so spinning reels for life I guess.
