Got to say , this looks good but our bream in Australia (said like 'brim') are salt water estuary fish . Not as heavy but way more fight .. They'll run you all over the place .. You know if you hook a two pound plus fish ..they go crazy …these look like dragging in a log in comparison.. Good video though..

What rating of quiver tip should you use for this stretch of river?

Hi Tommy. Sent you a message on face book.
Is this stretch on stoke lane please???

I lived in Nottingham for a year in the early eighties. What an area that is for coarse fishing. I could have fished every day within ten miles of my flat for my whole life and never have had to fish the same peg twice!

Proper fishing. Can't stand watching the muppets fishing over-stocked ponds. Need more video's like this. However the average angler could never afford your set-up in this video. I'm quite happy to stand in the water fishing.

Great video but picking the right peg and having them in front of you helps… I think this stretch has certain pegs that seem to produce over n over conditions permitting 👏

This is crazy, its pretty much identical to my bream fishing! but how do you manage hit same spot with out clipping up???? I would also like to add a tip….after some hours if you stop catching bream and not getting any more bites, cast even more down stream away from your initial feed by like few miters, bream usually will be hanging out there 🙂

Those frozen maggots must be cold because they're shivering. Lol. It looks like you're fishing opposite Bulcote Farm area. I think that big tower that you said is the aerial mast on top of Colwick Woods. I live about 500 yards from that up by the academy. Nice fishing. 👍

Hi Tommy could you please tell me what number peg you was fishing on….

Hi Tommy. Can you park close to pegs. As my 2 friends and I are mid 60’s+ and need close parking. Missed Ireland in May this year because of COVID for 1st time in 45 years. Now looking like won’t be going on our rebooking for September either ☹️
Do you know if the ferry boat inn does b&b we could then come up for a few days September to get our annual “bream fix”😃
Many thanks. John

Thought I was watching John Wilson the way Tom was giggling. After all the years he's fished it's nice to watch someone still enjoying their fishing. As Dennis would say "Well done Fatha", another superb video.

Nice to see a proper old sckool anglers like Tommy fishing on a proper river, not some over stocked duck pond. Used to read about that stretch in the Angling Times, a swim called The Rack would often get a mention.

Great times to be out on natural venues, seen more anglers and bream, since the lock down eased, than I’ve seen for many a year. There seems to be a new love for the outdoors and with social media you can be fishing and on fish, without all your own homework. Thank you 👍

Hi Tom. Fished tidal yare today at Cantley. On arrival flow was flooding out left to right. Then slack then flood then flowing out. How would you position the feeder best in these conditions cheers. Great video mate.

Probably the best and certainly the most informative professional videos on River Bream fishing, that I have watched in a long time.
Was a pleasure to watch one of the top anglers in the country, showing how to catch, rather than just posing in front of the camera.
The advertising for the Maver equipment was about right.
Only downside, was the "Dead Maggots" were actually alive, but understand the idea.
