Russian Fishing 4 Gameplay Review Is it the BEST HARDCORE Fishing Sim Available in 2022?

Great video as always mate, hope all is well. Whilst I'm quite sure you're right in saying that Expansive Worlds never said The Angler would be a hardcore fishing game, The description on steam states the game was going to be a "genre-defying fishing experience". Personally, I don't think it will ever live up to that claim and it was just pre-release marketing bs to instill hype in the community. I do think The Hunter is a solid series from them though. Not a bad studio by any means, they just missed the mark with this one unfortunately in my opinion. If you play the Angler as an arcade fishing game, I think it's great though, it's just not an authentic experience. Then again, most if not all fishing games have yet to reach that level haha.

First off; Yes, I usually went digging for worms when I was fishing back in the day (unless of course I was using a spinner). No sense in paying for bait when you have free bait under your feet next to the river.
Secondly: I can't say I'm a fan of the static trees in the game. I notice that grass and other vegetation moves with the wind, but all those birches are completely static.

I tried it, but the whole "You've got to eat" mechanic is so blatantly only implemented to sap your resources in order for you to start paying for the game, that it turned me off almost immediately. And now with everything that's going on, fishing in Russia doesn't really appeal to me anyway.
If I'm going to play a free-to-play fishing sim with "soft" paywalls, I'd rather play Fishing Planet, a game I've never paid any money for (but which also tries to nick my wallet at every turn).

I enjoy this game as well, I did move on to Fisher Online though since there isn't any paywall action (besides the purch of the actual game) but plays very similar. Enjoyed the video thank you!

Focus on the fishing rather than progress, RF4 monopolizes the impatient, people who rather make progress quickly by throwing money at the game instead of leveling traditionally. Most players purchase premium in time, but it is not recommended at lower levels as you will level faster than your ability to generate income.

Everything aside from several cosmetic reel variants are available for purchase through in game currency. The multiple fish species, habitats and behaviors easily allow someone to challenge oneself at any gear level.

It sounds at least to me like you could do with using a better quality mic.

Hatchet pond is well known for its tidal and whirl pools but is great for pike well was when I was a boy anyway. Great video I had tried this game though its good for single player not really great at multiplayer. I just wish there was a really good sea fishing simulator.

I like this one but things like hunger irl aren't progress bars. I would like to see it developed as something more invisible but perhaps you get a little fatigued or stomach rumbles, some real life indicators over progress bars would be tremendous
