Buy a Penn Authority Spinning Reel – https://jhfi.sh/3RabIqt
Her’e is a sneak peek at the brand new Penn Authority Spinning Reels! If you love the Slammer IV but want a reel that takes in to the next level then the Penn Authority should be something to consider. Penn let me borrow one of these fishing reels to do a video on so we don’t have all the info but what we do know is impressive. IPX8 sealing which means it can be dunked or you can swim with it. Penn outfitted the Authority with stainless steel CNC gears that are super strong and durable, thirteen ball bearings and an improved drive train that delivers high performance with a light tough. The Authority is rugged and can handle fishing from a boat, beach or pier. Fish this in freshwater or saltwater conditions. To purchase or for more information on the Authority, visit the Penn Authority Spinning Reels page on our web site. Here is the link: https://jhfi.sh/3RabIqt

I have the 6500, the only complaint I have is the weight, it's solid but tad on the heavy side, if they could shave a few oz off would be awesome. I wouldn't use it as a all day casting reel
I have Shimano Stella’s Daiwa Exist’s but when I go to the jetty or ocean, those reels just don’t have the balls. Very finesse and so Delicate I don’t even want to set them down.
On the other hand my Penn Slammers 3’s. Absolutely work horses and they crank in 30 lb King Salmons like nothing. I’m not too worried about setting them next to a rock or even dropping them which I never do. They are heavy but very well built and I am 100% sure these new ones will be better so I just ordered my 2 today.
Open minded, but most of my gear is Penn. Shimano line counter reel that Peen doesn't offer. But, this Penn Authority is EXPENSIVE, but specs look great. Nice video. Thanks J&H.
Love the Penn Spinfisher and Slammer series in 8000 to 10500 for Land Based Shark Fishing here in NE Florida, I look forward to seeing the Authority on the water
J n H….check the replys in the comments….I think there's a scammer replying to us.
I just heard about this…An interesting addition to the Penn Line…seems to fit between the Torque and the Slammer. I have both of those…and love the Torque, but not a fan of reels in general that have shrouds with open slats in them as the salt and sand gets in there. I get it, the carve them out to save weight, but I like to thoroughly clean them after use. This one foregoes the slats, and has all the right specs. for any fish I'll ever see in coastal GA. Well done. I am in.
Thanks for all your reel reviews! This gives me some basis on knowledge of reels. We all want reels that will last a lifetime with minimum maintenance that we can hand down to generations of family members.
Told myself id try a saragosa after this slammer 4 i got last, has the ipx8, the price is right. Never realized from 3 to 4 the slammers never got better in their waterproofing
I couldn't go back with Penn. Looks good but staying with Shimano. Penns has failed me so many time. Mainly conflict 3 times, slammer once, battle few time so no more. Shimano hasn't failed me yet only 1 obviously has to be cheapest Shimano a Sedona
Penn Stopped being Penn years ago since the founding family sold the company. Although they did fall behind on innovation during those last days.
