Actually the Vince Waughn movie, Delivery man was inspired by this movie. This movie was released in 2012 while Delivery man was released in 2013.
We indians don't like Short Films ! We have All the time in the world ! You guys are conditioned to enjoy a certain pace of movie. Just American perspective.
For me, this movie was perfect, it makes us connect with the characters, accept them with their flaws and appreciate their qualities. It also played an importance role in setting the stage to accept the taboo for their sake and give us time to become better. Also so that finally nothing is left that remained unexplained or creates confusion and the audience have a satisfactory experience.
thsi movie was a cultural shock and a emotional roller coaster for indians. got to give it to ayushman for picking this as his debut and to john for making a topic like this that was a taboo in india or a hush hush subject. one of the gems in bollywood's kitty. and yami gautam was so beautiful ๐
