I went here with my family last year we was promised a cabin with a peg on the main lake but the side our claim was on u could not fish i remember on the last day I fished on the Conor there on the top and caught a 20 pound common whitch was my pb ๐โค
I used to to fish there 30 years ago before all the cabins was on there, moved off when the cabins was built, never went back. Memories when Mick was the bayliff and characters like Beast, Gaz and Bacon fished there. One memorable fish back then was a low 20 called Lumpy. Also remember Ron's tackle shop just up the road where i bought my first set of delkims the day they was released. Also met the infamous Lenny Middleton (R.I.P) fishing there
What a cracking venue that looks and as you said spot on for taking the misses and if you have them kids all the best again with your future endeavors
Take a bow Joe ๐ always enjoyed your Carpology vlogs, I've been following you on NBF for a while & now subbed to NBV.
Looks a great venue & good to see lilly sporting the new Nash outdoor wear. ๐

Looks great for a holiday, especially with restaurants and ofcourse fishing see you on the other side curly, and good luck,by the way little lilly is cute as a button pal๐
definitely the championship lake is worth a go, the lakes weedy and carp are dark
Enjoyable video but there's a negative side to the Woodlakes story from us local anglers.
I cut my teeth on 2 poles back in the mid 90's and enjoyed catching carp from all the lakes on site over the years.
However, since the current owners took over the site has been massively commercialised with the anglers in the cabins having priority over day tickets anglers.
There's no proper fishery management in place resulting in a 50+ fish kill on the championship lake last year due to improper feeding by the site manager which was followed by a cover up.
As a holiday venue for a family it's a lovely place with great restaurants on site (especially Jack's) and local amenities only a short drive away.
As a day ticket fishery it's been completely ruined and with the planned increase in the amount of cabins things will invariably get worse.
I'm not bitter, I still occasionally go for a nostalgic day session on 2 poles in memory of my late Dad.
lived in the King's Lynn area my whole life and my dad me to woodlakes for my first ever fishing session in 1998 didn't used to have all the cabins back then but still a nice place
