The deep, remote waters of Alaska are home to a fascinating array of marine creatures, including some truly bizarre ones: these are just fifteen of the new ROV (remotely operated vehicle) findings from within the past year.

Creatures of the abyss fit beautifully with creepy stuff.. I am full of admiration.. left a comment at StrangeProvidence..
Time to catch a few z's and maybe a fish or two whilst watching this wonderful upload again..
Sogni d'oro.. a presto, mio caro! ๐ค๐ค๐ถ๐ฎ๐น
What might your next video be about? Any interesting ideas / deep sea ROV footage?
Crappy computer generated noise background is soooooo sickening it make me want to vomitl!!!!!
I love love love Supernatural/Thriller/Horror/Psychological Movies โคโคโคโค
Beautiful creatures of the cold Alaskan abyss! ๐๐ฆ๐ชธ๐ชผ๐ฆ๐
29:07 The reason why most deep sea creatures are red, is shown when the red squid disappears into the void where the vehicle's light didn't shine.
The creatures were so beautiful and fascinating creatures! Alaskan waters never disappoint! as these marine animals are indeed special because they could survive in such harsh conditions in these cold depths and these waters are so freezing cold and remote!
This is by and far my favorite channel! And a movie, a horror movie, a wonderful, deliciously intriguing horror movie, that sends shivers of anticipation up my spine! THANK YOU! I can hardly wait! These days something to look forward to is sparse and cringy at best, I now have a goal to survive to see Waterwick!
Is there anywhere I can buy/download the individual tracks on this video?
Imagine living 150 years with almost all time spent in one place. In the dark. Alone.
Way too much camera time spent on the boring ribbon worm …. I mean, after all, it is not even moving …. It's just laying there. Ho-hum …boring.
Nothing better I like waking up to then a DSO video! I love that you are doing this film I can't wait to see itโคโคโค
The close-ups of these creatures are mind-blowing! I'm in awe of the decorated warbonnet at 16:03!
I had no idea rockfish can live for 150 years. Flatfish lying there on the muddy bottom, eyes peeping from the top of their heads.. squid, tiny grenadier, siphonophore, spider crabs and sea cucumbers.. all evolved to live out their lives in such a harsh environment..
Mother nature is truly spectacular!
30:00 Oooooh, that blob sculpin definitely belongs in Waterwick! ๐๐ค
Thank you, DSO.. you're a star.. โญ May you keep on shining through the darkness!! ๐๐๐๐ฆ
To the right side of the ribbon worm I swear I saw a round object that looked like a coin๐
Loved the armhook squid! Red is def the color for spring!
Greetings from Houston, Texas- really enjoying the footage.
32:49 Marrus claudanielis?
7:19 Tubulanus annulatus?
All of these clips are so clear and detailed itโs amazing I love all of these creatures
Being a folklorist from RI I spent much time at the Ladd School when they first closed and it was very creepy. Electricity was still on, found a straight jacket, get inside the drawers in the morgueโฆ You know, kid stuff! Joseph Ladd was a monster for the way he ran that place, his abandoned house used to be in the woods but itโs all pretty much gone now.
I very much look forward to Waterwick, good luck with itโs success!
Such beautiful animals to see. I'm glad you have such high quality equipment to film them with.
46:05 I'm glad it escaped. Why catching it? Animals like that won't survive in our environment.
I'm very happy for you to be on the eve of releasing your feature film! To have been given such accolades by Godfrey Reggio is high praise indeed! It sounds terrifying and if it weren't for the fact that such movies scare the living shit out of me, and I mean that, right up to putting me into full blown panic attacks, (yeah, I'm a wimp, sorry!) I would happily see your film based on that bad-ass review and featuring Jeffrey Combs, were it a mildly to moderately scary SciFi movie, I'd be there with bells on. (I have a harder time suspending my disbelief, which makes it much easier to watch such movies) But that won't stop me from spreading the word about your film because I know plenty of people who do love thrillers. I'm not going to wish you good luck, it's bad luck. But I'm tell you and your wonderful team to break a leg!
Cute Chimera!
Tell me more about that AH Squid, please.
Sea Cucumber or Sea Goose?
Lively Crinoid! Especially if you think of them as sessile.
Just wanted to say that you are my favorite channel, truly have a soft spot for this precious content compared to anything else โค ๐
Waterwick looks great… professional, introspective, and eerie as heck.
The very best of luck at all the releases, for all your unending, hard work, and passion!
Wow, 150 years, how is that possible?—Very impressive trailer, but not my genre. Fascinated to see Jeffrey Combs in it, he's a local boy! My best wishes for a successful outcome!
The quality of these clips is impeccable. How far we have come in ROV tech! It's as if we're looking at them directly through a tank!
