PLEASE! Be careful with the brake cleaner it is HIGHLY toxic and, cannot be made non toxic. So too much exposure means death!

Should use hose clamps instead of electric tape for the rodholder

Love it, you did a great job, the only correction is, not a clean out , it’s a 3×2 combo, for those asking in the store, don’t want the wrong fitting, can’t wait to see it in action

Use a short section of ss trace, for trace that is loaded in the barrel. The flame leaving the barrel behind the spud will melt your monofilament, or fit crude muzzle break.

The reasont the fitting wants to move apart when solvent cemented, is because the fitting is an interferance fit [slightly tapperd]. This forces the surfaces of the pipe and fitting to meld together.

It was awesome to see you yesterday!

I can’t believe you haven’t made a spud gun before! For hair spray: use Aquanet hairspray. That’s the magic!

Good luck with that! Tried this once with a sling shot and it snapped the line, even when I had the tension off on the rod. 😳🙄🥺 Hope it works!!! 🤞

Ok, that's just plain cool! Now need to experiment with combustion chamber and barrel length/diameter and maybe even add a scope. Just sayin. Ooh, what about mounting a couple of them on the overlander? Ok, I'm done. 😁

We used to use the old school aqua net hairspray back in the day. Sweet lookin spud gun👊🏻👍🏻

Awesome idea .. I recommend a few wraps with duct tape around the combustion chamber incase you get a little carried away with the brake cleaner . PVC shrapnel could ruin your day.

add more hair spray. They take a bit more to get it to work. I always used Hairspray and never had issues. Great video guys. Now lets see it working at the water.

A kite rod setup would work if you have the correct winds. 💡

When I was a little girl in the 50s,dad and mom would take all six of us kids camping every other weekend in Southern California. We had a tent that dad and the boys painted with some kind of coating to make it waterproof. Sometimes we would camp by a lake in the mountains, sometimes we would go to the desert and sometimes we would camp at the beach. Camping at the beach was my favorite. Dad and I would surf fish. So many good memories of this. Always caught fish. So lucky to grow up in the 50’s.
