I made a fish trap a couple years ago using a 5 gallon water jug and still use it. Although i cut the top quarter off and reversed it so the mouth piece is facing inward. Drilled a few holes and secured it back together with zip ties. Works great.

it's a channel catfish because we have a lot in Georgia that look like that
