In this episode I make a fishing rod tube for the roof of my VW GTI. Take a look at this video and you can easily turn any car you have into a fishing machine.

Now lower your car, so it's easier to load and unload. It will also be faster, so you can get to fishing in fewer minutes.
Coilovers = more fishing
why would you think that we will like to see you pulling all your junk out of the car? 45 sec and still nothing on the tutorial.
How many can u get in there ?- not worth it for 1 rod in my opinion. Great idea though
I hate that in order to do more then one rod you would need to take the reels off. You would be fine if your were a baitcaster guy.
Horrible way to treat your gear. A dark place with no moving air to dry me out after our fishing trip.
Love the quick work out with the tube when you pulled it off the shelf!!!!
Cool man, i have special room in my life for gti's and fishing. God bless.
Gave up watching after 3 minutes I was being boarded to tears . Get on with it
Great project….really threw me when you went reel first into the tube!. I’m making same for my Jeep ,but 6’ for my UL spinning gear…and hiking poles.
Were can i get those covers, are they at lowes and what r they called
Rack system – $599.99
Golf gti – $28,595
PVC Pipe – $9.95
Making something yourself – pricele$$
Oh man, how awesome is that stupidly loud music vs his super quiet voice?
Man, I love how you use the shopping kart. I would do the exact same thing😂
Were the end caps and u bolts packaged together and purchased from Lowes also?
Nice, but bolting and unbolting every time you need the car, you will need something of a quick on off interlocking system, with a little imagination and ingenuity and a little hardware you'll have it.
Haha great vid!…it looks massive on the golf!…i was wondering what you were going to do with a tube that large..figured you carry alot of rods with you….i personally probably would have went with a 2 or 3 inch and toss a rod or 2 in the tube without the reels attached. Anyhow, how is it holding up?
Good idea, I like the "in lot" cutting and install (I need to try that sometime). What rack system is installed on car ?
