Here is a simple video on how to make a DIY simple fishing rod holder. I am not a handyman in any sense of the word, so if I can do this then so can anybody. I will NEVER make a technical DIY project of any kind. LOL
Pool noodles are so cheap. They are like $3 at Kmart, are readily available and can be used in so many different applications. Their uses are endless.
I decided to upload this DIY simple fishing rod holder tonight, on a Thursday night to end my YouTube week on an upbeat simple and bubbly video.
I will be leaving this DIY simple fishing rod holder in my shed indefinitely, or until such a time that I need to change it.
This is how to make a fishing ros holder, or how to make a simple fishing rod holder. It aligns very well with my KISS system of fishing. Keep It Simple Stupid.
Oh by the way, in case you do not already know DIY stands for Do It Yourself. Most people realise this but younger people may not.
This is the pool noodle that I used:

Add a small diameter piece of PVC pipe to the inside of your "NOODLE" to make it a little more stout. Have Fun!
Use duck tape under zip ties. This will prevent zips from cutting into noodles.
Good idea Robbie i watch alot of American fishing videos and I think it's a Common diy fishing rod holder over there as well hahaha
Hey Robbie I'm planning to fish at noojee with my cousins and we don't have waders. What's the best clothing to be wading in? Also they want to keep the wild brown trout and I'd rather they not, is this a problem keeping them or am I just worried?
Love ya work robbie a sheet of corrugated iron and a bit of imagination man can create anything… I think you must have a large amount of shares in noodles…lol
Very cool mate. I took a Canadian Canoe up the river this Easter and the roof defenders at ARB and Super Cheap Auto came in at $50 + so i used two noodles from Big W for a grand total of 4 bucks, lol, 6 cable ties later and we were sorted brother. lol, Super Cheap Arsehole, lol. Cheers mate. ATB Moose.

My name is Tommy I’m from Ballarat
I simply want to say hello
and thanks for passing on your years of knowledge
It’s great to see you care enough to teach others what you know about fishing
It’s annoying when you hear things like I can’t tell you where or how I caught that fish because it’s a secret lol
Anyone would think they had discovered the Holy Grail or something
Also my fiancé and I are doing the whole No Alcohol for a month thing and were feeling pretty good
think I’ll keep it going
We’ll be down your way round August some time and looking forward to snagging one of those great Cod
Anyway Cheers and Thanks Again
