How To Store Fly Rod Tubes – Fly Fishing Tips – DIY Wall Rack
Once you accumulated a number of fly rods and the tubes to protect them, you are left with the issue of how to store those tubes. In this episode I will show you how to organize and store your tubes to save space.
Lets make the rod tubes a centeral part of our home or office decore with a custom stand.
Cut List in cm:
2- 74 cm long and 11,5 cm wide bords
2- 60 cm long and 5 cm wide bords
Cut List in inch:
2- 29 inch long and 4,5 inch wide bords
2- 23,5 inch long and 2 inch wide bords
1. Measure the diameter of your fly rod tube.
2. Make a hole 2 cm / 0,7 inch from the edge bord with a exit for the tube.
3. Make a template in plywood or cardboard so you get the right distance between the tubes.
4. Before assembling the wall Rack, it is important that you drill holes to prevent the wood from cracking.
5. Use sandpaper to remove sharp edges and paint if desired
