These things are the bomb for storing rods in your kayak.

And if you like a "KEEPER" for the bottom opening, use those spring-loaded "clips" for drawstrings with 1/8" Bungee Cord.
(Those "Clips" are found on Amazon, along with the Bungee Cord). Look just like the BPS ones, then…!
