The latest helping of Angling 360 takes us to Oban, the gateway to the isles and hopefully the gateway to some truly monstrous fish. Fishing with renowned skipper Leigh Taylor, we head out into the Firth of Lorne where within the depths of well over 500 feet conceal a stronghold of the once critically endangered Flapper Skate.
These fish draw anglers to the west coast of Scotland, from across the globe, in the hope of connecting with a fish that may well be 200lbs+ in weight, and once hooked, the fun really begins.
Can this bunch of hardened anglers take the strain, go toe to toe with, and meet, face to face, one of these deep sea goliaths?
