Is the bale spring loaded just got mine can’t get mine to spring back
I've bought the Surf fishing version of this reel and it's great for long cast.There aren't much of limitation of, how far you can cast, when it come to surf fishing. But, I just don't know, if you'd need a big pit reel for carp fishing. How for can you really cast?
Shame about this trend to make everything so dull looking – not that it really matters, but a splash of colour would be nice. The Castizm QD is better in that regard, else, pretty awesome reels and I've had mine a few weeks now – in fact, very similar to my Castizms, but obviously more suited to proper distance work. They balance my Hi S ives perfectly and cast really well – clutch is super smooth and the QD is excellent. Love the handle too – never was fan of the wooden handles on other Daiwa big oits I have owned. All in all, I think these are the best reel of their kind you can buy right now. Good to see a nice tough bail arm too – the flimsy crap being put on high end Shimanos beggers belief.
Are the ball bearings corrosion resistant? Is it sealed against salt water and sand?
I can't find no specific details how many and if this reel has any ball bearings !!!
They are looking awesome. I really like that design. How would you compare them with Windcast Z? I own 3 of them
