I fish up here in the Northeast for striped bass and flounder and even blackfish I can't even find this reel. I really want to put it to the test?
Lol. They try to make it look like a Van Staal VR! Probably got stamped zink alloy gears.
True test reel it under saltwater, see what happens.
a good drag should be smooth and keep the pressure you put on the fish constant until you turn the dial to put more or less resistance on the fish. but then again i never fished for pickup trucks.
I see quite of bit of ppl saying gears are weak and reel are sticky, how do you fix those
I purchased a 3000, 4000, and 5000 size for my 7-, 8-, and 9-foot rods, respectively. Used the 5000 off the beach, but never dunked it or splashed with saltwater. Two trips to the beach and a third to the pier, I started hearing grinding coming from the rotor as I was cranking the handle. Always rinsed off the reel after each outing, so I don't know what's making that grinding sound.
Also bought two Alloy M baitcasting reels for saltwater fishing from a boat. Used only one of them once and then had a long email exchange with Piscifun customer service in China, and they basically admitted the bearings in these reels are NOT saltwater rated, even though the other parts are. Does not make any sense to make a "saltwater reel" that's not a saltwater reel. I will not buy another fishing reel from Piscifun until they come out with bearing kits for all of these reels that are fully sealed for saltwater. I would like to swap out the bearings and truly make them saltwater rated.
That is a false drag test. Ripping drag with no drag pressure only tests heat dissipation, and was not long enough to test that properly. Secondly, the heavy drag test did nothing that would show scarring of the drag washer. Another review of a $10 reel that is being sold for $100.
BIg fan! Keep putting these videos out please and stay genuine! PLEASE! Nothing is a bigger turn off than the company hiding their products. For instance we know the Flame doesnt hold a candle to the Alloy.. Keep being honest, I love your vids!
Id love a video going indepth and explaining the differences in the reels. Why a certain reel going up in price, what makes that more expensive, and why its an advantage, and if a flame is perfect for someone even though its cheaper compared to even the viper.
Again love the vids, I have owned 6 Piscifun reels! Like I said Huge fan.
Carbon x 1000, 2000
Chaos XS 5000, 6000
Viper 2000 – Given to Sister
Flame 2000 – Given to father to get him into fishing
(Currently looking for a new option for my wife 🙂 but she has color preferences that trump quality haha)
I purchased a fly reel and rod and am looking forward to testing it out up here in Alaska this coming season. I am also interested in taking up casing, I appreciate the prices and can see that the quality is at least good enough for a season or two up here. I know nothing about casting so I would really appreciate some suggestions. Thanks
I made a disassembly hole inside the fishing reel, I would love to see the parts inside this fishing reel.
How about giving stainless steel gears for a little extra price?
What is the IPX rating?
Your drag test on the 6000 gives a higher poundage than it would be with a full spool. Drag increases as spool diameter decreases.
Yeah I've got two of the Alijoz and the Alloy X here. Great reels! Piscifin means what they say.
3000 size is gonna be perfect for some salmon fishin. Can’t wait for mine👀
The alloy x seems like real deal. Just like the 4 different piscifun reels I own. Do you have any torture test of the chaos, torrent, phantom x, and the viper x?
Had no idea you were a fellow Wisconsinite. Guess I need to buy these now.
I’ve been using Piscifun Carbon X spinning reels for a my 2nd summer and last winter. I really like them!
You can thank Wisconsin fisherman and YouTuber Tom Boylen for recommending Piscifun reels.
I will purchase the Alloy X soon.
Thanks for these YouTube videos and demos.
That's a real world test right there. Great looking reel!
I just bought my first phantom, I’m really excited to use it and catch some fish!
It's awsome to see how strong and durable this reel is… Great Quality for a Awsome Price…Other companies better watch out Piscifun is on the Rise
