At $2,500, sans engine, John Skinner found a perfect replacement for his 1974 Starcraft that finally bit the dust awhile back. In this case, the “new” to John Skinner boat is a 1986 Grumman 5 meter that is a perfect combination of small, trailerable boat with enough deadrise, length and beam to let John fish many of the waters here off Eastern Long Island.
It also goes to show that no matter your budget, you can find something that gets you on the water and on fish!
