Hey I just ordered one a pro qualifier bait caster 2 7 feet mid heavy stick with 6/8 gear ratio can you suggest anything on it please thanks like your video and subscribe
Bought same setup during the big 50% off sale summer 2020, Plus BASS PRO screwed up my delivery date and gave me a 25.00 gift card, All in Rod N Reel $75.00. It's been 9 months haven't spooled it yet but ready now ,first bait caster combo.
Man you are cranking that bait pretty fast and hard looks like it maybe still cold even before prespawn… slow down partner 👌
BPQ2 rods is pretty much all I use lol. I love em. I also use left-handed baitcasters, not sure why people insist on right-handed ones.
What weight scale were you using?
Just purchased with 8lb Fluor and am getting wicked backlash.
Also can’t figure how to get the side cover off.
The Johnny Morris Platinum Signature combo is on sale right now, February 2019 for $250. Who makes these for Bass Pro? My guess is Daiwa.
I have the previous model pro qualifier rod and reel before the new 2.0 was brought out and it is just as good if not better than setups costing 2 or 3 times as much. Also have a couple of Extreme setups which aren't bad. The Extreme rods are the full cork handles before they did the split grip ones and the reels are the metalic green ones before they changed them. I heard that the last model of Extreme reels that came out after mine were a piece of junk and didn't perform that well. My pro qualifier 7 foot medium heavy is an excellent worm rod. My favorite rod and reel combo although a bit heavier I my 7 foot medium heavy RCX combo which is the purple Rick Clunn line that they had out quit a while back. It is actually the spinner bait model which is probably my favorite all around bait casting set up. I have never had any issues with Bass Pro Shops rods and reels and highly recommend them to anyone.
I was debating on buying the combo. It's selling for $150 at the moment. You just talked me into getting it. Thanks for the review.
Awesome review! I just picked up this exact same combo a few days ago, which is also my first baitcaster. I can’t wait til bass fishing opens up here in Wisconsin to get out and rip some lips with it! And most likely birds nest the hell out of it! Haha
I work at Bassproshop here and I just pick up a 7’0 crankin stick and the bpq 2 I can’t wait to test it out. I got the 6.8:1. Everyone I work with in the fishing department loves theirs!
Sometimes when I fish a Red Eye Shad I pause it, let it sink some then rip it up, crank it then let it sink again. Sometimes that sinking will generate a bite!
Looks very smooth nice chunk to start the vid off brother tight lines
Nice seem to be working just fine for what I seen
