Why does everyone begin the video with, “whats up guys?”. No original thoughts on youtube.
Not to bad but are you sure it's PVC pipe? Looks more like ABS pipe that might get soft in the hot sun? Also the holes are ragged and not clean like holes cut into PVC usually look. Try a schedule 40 PVC that is stiffer and harder than ABS but using it outside is not a good idea as it gets brittle and can crack easy in direct sunlight in a year or two. Or you could just buy a T-Rex Tough Fishing Rod Holder for about the same price where all this work has already been done by a team with over 50 years experience professionally fabricating the best Rod Holders barring none. They are guaranteed for 10 years!!! Your friends would really be impressed. Thanks.
Ive watched a lot of videos trying to get ideas on this exact topic. I really like this one the best. Good job.
Good design. Only critique I have is when I made mine on my f150 I found putting two sheet metal screws in each cap beneficial because I had a problem of only one screw wearing a hole in the sheet metal that eventually allowed the screw to slip out and taking the cap with it (happened when putting on/ taking off the pvc pipe and I like this design because you can take the pipe off if you're hauling a lot of cargo)
