TA DAY…LOL…, I made your light and looking forward to trying it out soon! I have really enjoyed watching your videos…as another viewer said, "Great Stuff" Thanks for sharing. BTW, where can I get one of your stickers?
I’m a 67 yr old widow. With no husband, no dad anymore and 2 sons living across the country I have to diy. I got a bigfish 103 with pro fish peddle drive to fish the lake. You have no idea how much your videos (and sense of humor) have helped me. From the bottom of my heart….thank you!!
Great Video. The LED strip light you used from amazon is rated as IP65 for its waterproof rating meaning basically its rain proof and not for submersion. The submersible standard is IP68 which has two coverings to make sure the LED are waterproof and are designed for submersion. How has your light lasted? Have you used it many times? Thanks for the straight forward video
How do you stop it from overheating? What battery did you hook it up to cause a 20v drill battery is to much…lol. it good in the water but I would like to use it camping too
I listened again and you mention the polypropylene is not necessary. Thanks again.
Great instructional video. I did not see you put a clear tube over your lights- not necessary if the LEDS are submersible?
Fishin stuff man, love you videos, but notice a lack of enthusiasm on this build…….you’re not get burned out are you?? Take a break man! You’re the best!! We love ya out here in video land!!
Sweet Hack! Did this with my sons as a project they enjoyed it…used 24 volt and trolling motor connection “freakin awesome!!”
One question, do the lights get hot when not submerged? Ours got kinda warm on the test run.
Use the lights in the link above. I went a cheaper version and the wouldn't even come on. I used three different 12 v sources and they would not work.
i have a challenge for you
i have been trying to find a way to make a sinker that looks and functions like a three prop buzz blade
naturally its not going to run the surface but i am in hopes it rises off the bottom much faster..
what do you think ?
was the 6 1/2 oz of sinkers enought to keep it from floating? I was thinking of using more weight. or do you still want the light to float at the top only?
Love ur videos . Can u build a catfish noodle w a light sticking out of the top????? Thanks u for the video hope u keep doing them
Have you built a battery operated one? They make 1000 lumen flashlights that run for hours on 21600 batteries. I do a lot of bank fishing and one would come in handy
I ordered my light strips without proper research, and am getting the IP67 rated strips. Are your lights rated IP67 or IP68? And, if IP67 have you had any problems with them being underwater and what depth?
i wonder if a 5 meter led strip will be ok to connect to a usb cable to power adapter. or should i buy a 12 volt power adapter and connect the wires. 5 m led strip = 3 amps?. not sure how to do this
How long did you have to cut the 2" pc pip to make it I bought the lights on your list .my son and I love your channel
How long was this light? I bought a 2 foot section of 1.5” just curious if I need longer
